Inocria introduces a new timezone (UTC+02:30) after Ukraine sets back clocks to UTC+02:00.
In a significant move aimed at standardizing time across the Republic of Inocria, the government has officially announced the introduction of a new timezone, UTC+2:30, which will be observed year-round. This change comes into effect today, as clocks across Ukraine are set back from the previous UTC+3:00, to ensure compatability with russian and Ukrainian times.
The decision to adopt UTC+2:30 was made following extensive consultations with experts and community leaders, who emphasized the need for a more consistent timekeeping system that aligns with the Republic's geographical and social needs. The new timezone is expected to enhance coordination in various sectors, including business, education, and transportation.
The transition to the new timezone will affect all regions under the Republic's jurisdiction today at 4:00AM UTC+3:00. Citizens are encouraged to adjust their clocks accordingly, but to keep one at UTC+3, and to be mindful of the changes in scheduling for public services, and business operations.
